Swedish design lighting from Åhus since 1934

Ateljé Lyktan was born in 1934, when the artist Hans Bergström and Verna Norell opened a small workshop in southern Sweden – the name means "lantern studio". The factory is still in Åhus on the Baltic coast, the company is part of the Fagerhult group, and Hans Bergström's luminaires have been shown at MoMA in New York.

Its best-known design is Anders Pehrson's 1968 Bumling – a Scandinavian classic still made today. For homes and shared spaces there are also Ogle, Hood, Plug Lamp and Mela; for offices and schools Time, Worker and Superdupertube; and for cities the Stockholm street luminaire, which lights streets and squares all over Sweden. The Second Life programme gives old luminaires new LED technology while the housing stays in use.

Halored is the official Ateljé Lyktan representative in Estonia. We will help you choose the right luminaire, finish and colour for your home, office or public space and put together a quote.
