Acoustic luminaires that make a room quieter

BuzziSpace started in Antwerp in 2007 with recycled felt and is today one of the pioneers of acoustic lighting: a luminaire that also absorbs noise. Its BuzziFelt is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles, and the products are made in the company's own manufacture in Bladel, the Netherlands.

An acoustic luminaire solves two problems at once – in an open-plan office, restaurant, school or home the light is right and the echo is lower. The best known are BuzziShade, BuzziJet and BuzziDome; the range includes pendants for a single table and long rows for large rooms, as well as floor and wall lights. BuzziSpace products have won Red Dot, iF and Best of NeoCon awards.
