Viimsi Artium

The Viimsi Artium culture and education centre is a singular place where culture, education and technology come together in harmony. This contemporary, interdisciplinary cultural centre is known for the breadth of its programme, spanning the performing arts, classical, jazz, pop and rock music, art, film, science and education. Different art forms blend here with international, national and community dimensions, forming a unique environment for local residents and visitors alike.

One of the brightest innovations at Viimsi Artium is the lighting control system prepared by the engineers of Halored OÜ. The system is a genuine step forward, because it was built on the experience and the lessons learned at similar buildings. The Traxon e:cue SYMPHOLIGHT lighting control drives about a thousand luminaires and hundreds of DALI-2 input devices, ensuring optimal and user-friendly lighting everywhere in the centre, at all times.

Because there is a great deal of daylight in the centre, the system adjusts the lighting imperceptibly to the level of daylight using Inventronics multi-sensors. This smart solution not only keeps the light level right at all times but also saves electricity, making the centre more environmentally friendly. That matters especially for pupils and teachers, as it creates the best conditions for learning and teaching.

The lighting control system at Viimsi Artium shows how contemporary technical solutions can improve the way a cultural centre works while also supporting sustainable use.
