TOOY Filipa wall luminaire

The TOOY Filipa wall luminaire is the wall luminaire version of the Filipa family. This version: IP40, 5 W. The same family is also available as: pendant luminaire, table luminaire.

Inspired by the traditional Chinese lantern, Filipa reinterprets an icon of Eastern culture through a contemporary design language defined by lightness, balance and precision. Its two-dimensional structure frames the diffuser, creating a refined interplay of solids and voids that places light at the centre of the composition. The dialogue between materials, proportions and refined details expresses an understated elegance, bringing together memory, innovation and refined materiality. A luminous presence designed to engage with space through the purity of its form. Collection of lamps inspired by the classic Chinese lanterns. The particular bi-dimensional structure is made by powder coated painted metal on the outside, while the inside color is sand gray. A new version in a two-coloured leather has enriched the collection. The light source is located inside a doubleside borosilicate glass diffuser, while the suspensions have an additional integrated LED light source in order to create a direct illumination downwards.
